Links sliding to the bottom

I thought I had everything working, but something went wrong. I added a category and made a post in that category and now everything that was on the right side of the page has moved down.

Before I posted to the second category the search box was at the same level as the most recent post. Why did it move halfway down the page and is there someway I can fix it?
