• To be brief, I want to make it so that the links on my page open in my page; so it’ll display the content of another site within my own site when the link to said other site is opened. Anybody know how I can do this?

Oh, right, and I’m using the K2 theme and Ubuntu Linux.

  • Frames can do this.

Thanks, but I was actually looking for an alternative to frames… (sorry, I should’ve mentioned that)

yuck. can I just say that while its your site, thats just shitty.

Toss a few 100 hundred animated images up on your site while your at it, make sure to include some <blink>blinking text</blink> too please.

That aside, I recommend exercising your google FU. Its this really big amazing search engine, and believe it or not, you are not the first to want to perform this sin.

Well, you can say whatever you want, and I respect your opinion, but unfortunately my employer/boss/father is very specific on not wanting his website to be replaced by whatever site he opens a link to on his website when he opens it. While personally I think it’s silly, it’s not up to me to decide, just to do it.

yes well please be sure to share the url at some later date so that those of us that actually believe in web standards can put that url in our ‘blocked’ list.

Why don’t you just have the link open in a new window? At least it’s a better solution than the other.

I don’t know what kind of site/business your person has, but you should try to convince him that what he wants to do will really tick visitors off! So in the long run, he’ll keep people off of his site anyway…
    :/

By loading another site’s page you are really stealing bandwidth.

It’s creepy that a father wants his son to do things that are at the very least immoral.

Due to the obsessive personality of my employer.

No, the other site is also partially his.
