I’m using the links manager to handle internal as well as external links. When I try to use edit or add link form, it always appends http:// to everything, even the internal links. What this does is forces me to use “http://www.mydomain.com/about.php” in the field instead of just “about.php”. When I type in just “about.php” it forces it to “http://about.php”.
Is there any way to fix this? I’ve looked through all the files and I cannot see where it is force prepending the “http://” to the URL.
I searched through the forums and I could not find where anyone has asked this previously.
I am using the current release version of WordPress.
