Support » Plugin: Links shortcode » Links out of order

  • Resolved pollymac

    Hi there,

    I am using links shortcode to order links here and here. When I add a new link to a category, I’m having to go into My Link Order and reorder the links as well as go to the pages and refresh them so that the links show up in there proper ascending by date order. I was hoping to just be able to add links to categories and have them show up correctly without the extra steps.

    My default settings in Links Shortcode are:
    As indicated using the My Link Order plugin
    and then this in “how to display the links?”

    <div class=”links_sc_fb”>
    [optional [link_description]||]

    On the pages where I want the link category to appear I have these shortcodes:

    [links category_name=”In the News” order=”ASC”] (on the resources page)
    [links category_name=”Related Documents” order=”ASC”](on the OSGATA et al. v. Monsanto page)
    [links category_name=”Related News” order=”ASC”](also on the OSGATA et al. v. Monsanto page)

    I’m sure I have something set wrong. Any ideas? Thanks so much for your help!

    If you use a caching plugin you might encounter issues when reordering links with My Link Order after publishing a page.

    I recommend you use orderby="link_updated" to sort your links by the date they were last edited, if that works for you. Let me know if this does the trick.
