I am trying to put this link into my blog post. This is one of three that will not work.

I added one from the text mode and the other from from visual.
Have you tried:
-deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
-switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
Thanks for looking into this matter for me. I am a WP beginner and do not understand what do you mean the links work for you. Yes, they are active links but when I try to put them in my blog via the the “add/edit link” button (which I have done successfully many times before) the link does not work in the the “preview” mode.
I will try to deactive all plug-ins.
How do I switch to the default them?

They work for me in the preview mode. To change themes go to the dashboard>>apperance>>themes and choos twenty seventeen.

When I go to change the theme, I can only choose twenty fourteen, twenty thirteen or tweenty twelve.
Please advise.

Okay, I realize now that I can search for theme twenty seventeen. What will happen if I activate it? I am nervous that I will do harm to my website.
