links invisible on main page but not on separate topic page! (4 posts)

    Something very strange.

After upgrading to 1.5, I see that all the things I've linked to in the main page has disappeared. For example, if I choose Archive --> December 2004, none of the topics appear.

When I edit the topic, I see the a href quite clearly, but when I view source, that a href doesn't even appear anywhere.

Here's the strange thing. When I click to an individual topic, (for example http://www.imaginaryplanet.net/weblogs/idiotprogrammer/?p=83397744 ), the links reappear.

It sounds as if the main template page is stripping the a tags. This is very strange!

What's going on here? Is there an easy way to solve this?

That's actually a "feature" of the default template. To change it, open the Archives Template (archives.php), find the_excerpt and change it to the_content .

sorry, one other thing. On my latest posts (this month), links appear normally both on separate topic page and the main blog page. It only happens with topics I created pre-1.5.

    I wanted to clarify:
When I edit the topic, I see the a href quite clearly, but when I view source, that a href doesn't even appear anywhere.

I meant: when I choose to edit the topic using the web interface, I can see the a href= tag very clearly. But when the topic is published, the a href doesn't appear, not even in the source.
