  • The template I’m using has a sidebar for categories. Below that side bar, and perhaps within that sidebar, I’d like to place a picture of a book and a link to Amazon. I have the code, but I can’t find the place to put it so it shows up in the already-made sidebar.

  • It depends on the theme you are using.

    If you give me your url, I will have a look.

    The link is A word of warning. I already have a site up and running — I created it with HTML, before I heard about wordpress — (and no, I don’t live in a cave!). It is at I am trying to get my wordpress page to look like my current page so that I can go live.

    Somewhere in your theme-files (sidebar.php?) you have an unnumbered list of items (starts with an [ul]).

    Before the closing /ul add your pictures as new listing (in between [li]…[/li].

    Do I just past the link like this style=”font-family: Copperplate Gothic Bold;”></span><iframe
    style=”width: 120px; height: 240px;” marginwidth=”0″
    marginheight=”0″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no”></iframe></p>
    <p class=”MsoPlainText”><span style=””><small><span
    style=”color: rgb(255, 255, 255);”><span

    OR does it need to have a special list code to go with it to get it into the list? My HTML coding is not that advanced?

    I just pasted the link in– and nothing happened. Is it invisible?

    Some of the code above is missing at both the start and the end. If you popped it in as shown above, it wouldn’t work due to that. First, double check to see if you have copied the entire Amazon code into your file, then see what you get.

    Thank you!! That did it.
