[Resolved] Links in Sidebar showing on all pages

  • Hi All:

    Sorry if this is easy, but I just started using links in the sidebar, and have different category links. Question: How do I have the leinks that appear on my home page, appear on ever other page as well? Second Question: How do I exclude links from certain pages? Sorry, I am a little slow.

    Thanks for any help,

    David

  • Could someone please direct me to how I could get all my link categories showing on all pages of my site, not just the home page? I’ve checked the codex, and found that the default theme comes like this. I am using the Twilight Theme, which probably is based on similar cod. Could someone please direct me to the code to use, and where to put it?

    Thanks

    please, anyone?

    To show the links on other pages as well, you’ll have to edit the sidebar.php in your theme. It’s not that hard. Take a look at it and post here if you have trouble figuring it out.

    1. in sidebar.php you will find:
    <?php /* If this is the frontpage */ if ( is_home() || is_page() ) { ?>
    <?php get_links_list(); ?>

    2. in <?php /* If this is the frontpage */ if ( is_home() || is_page() ) { ?> put || is_single() after is_page() and then must looks like that:
    <?php /* If this is the frontpage */ if ( is_home() || is_page() || is_single() ) { ?>

    it works 🙂
    Have fun!

    Or if you want them to show on all pages, just get rid of the conditional.

    Hi Guys:Thanks for your responses
    I think I’m just hopeless…

    All I have in my sidebar.php is this script:
    <?php /* If this is the home page */ if (is_home()) { ?>

    <?php get_links_list(); ?>

    <?php } ?>

    Any help would be appreciated…I’m kinda slow

    Thanks
    d

    remove
    <?php /* If this is the home page */ if (is_home()) { ?>
    and
    <?php } ?>
    leaving
    <?php get_links_list(); ?>

    Thanks Guys…..Lobsterman….you saved me so much hassles……Thanks You Lobster Rock!!!!!
