Hi, I´m working on a local enviroment (localhost), but some links doesn´t work properly:

On my primary menu, I have the following link to page Membresia:
    http://localhost/wordpress/membresia/

On other page, over the text, I have the same link to page Membresia:
    http://localhost/wordpress/membresia/

When I visit the site over local network (192.168.0.7/wordpress) everytning is ok:
When I click over Menu item Membresia (192.168.0.7/wordpress/membresia/) everything is ok
BUT when I click over text, the link change to localhost/wordpress/membresia/ and doesn’t work

On WP ADMIN -> SETTINGS -> GENERAL WordPress and Site Addresses, both, are set to http://localhost/wordpress and I can´t change it.

Can you help me? Why on Menu item maintain the IP address and over text change to localhost? The definition of the link are the same.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • 192.168.0.7 is your computer’s local network IP, localhost is an alias for 127.0.0.1, your computer’s loopback IP. You should be using “localhost/wordpress” instead of “192.168.0.7/wordpress”. If you want to use one computer to host the site (your local running server) and use it from another computer in the network, you have to edit your hosts file in that computer to point to the one hosting the local server.

In your remote PC you edit your hosts file and add a line like this:

    192.168.0.7 mysuperdupersite.local

With this now go to your remote’s browser and navigate to “mysuperdupersite.local”, it should work fine.
