Links and italics still not working

    Hi Denzel

    1. I have been using WordPress’s content editor to add URLs and the link text that people are supposed to click on to get to the respective URL.

    2. As advised, I have also been using WordPress’s content editor to create my text, highlighting my content, then clicking the italics button.

    And neither of these work — even though the correct tags show up in my WordPress content editor. I realise they don’t actually show up in the source code that you have looked at — because I’ve looked at it too.

    That’s the problem! I think there is either a glitch in WordPress or in the theme. I know my tags are correct because they resulted in italics and links when I typed them into the WP support forum earlier today. So it has to be a problem with either WP or the theme, or both.

    This seems to only be happening when I try to create links and italics in posts (not on pages).

    I await your advice.

    P.S. I can send you a screenshot from the text editor if you can tell me how to upload this. Also — the italics and an underlined link appear in the visual editor.

    Hi,

    There is nothing wrong with the theme or WordPress.
    I am able create a post and write italics and link without any issue.

    Since you know HTML, I suggest you take a look in your text editor, not the visual editor. Look for any code error.

    You can also try to find any plugin conflict, by disabling one plugin at a time.
