    Hi,

relevannssi will index linklibrary links, but when they are shwon in the search result, they will link to a wordpress post, which is not found, and not to the origin link. Maybe you could realize a better integreation with the guys of relevanssi?! That would be great. Or do you have another usefull hint for me.

    Thanks.

    Andreas

Can you try going to your Permalinks settings and saving them? Can you give me an example of the type of URL that these posts have?

Link Library can actually display full pages for links. Re-saving the permalinks will likely make the pages resolve.

Once you have pages, you can work on their layout by going to the Single Item Layout tab of the Global Options of Link Library.

Let me know if this helps and please consider donating to support this plugin’s development.

    Hi Yannick,

there is an element in linklibrary, for example

    title: Club Dresden
    URL: http://club-dresden.de
    category: Clubs

relevanssi is activated and linklibrary elements are indexed. Now executing a search with term “Dresden”, the resultlist has got an element with “Club Dresden” and it will link to a wp url http://mysite/links/Clubs/club-dresden. This url will not be found. Also http://mysite/links/Clubs/ and http://mysite/links/ are not found.

But I would even rather prefer, that the link in the result list points to http://club-dresden.de and not to an internal post (optimally with a _blank target).

I rebuild permalinks, but nothing changed.

… I played a bit with global and library configuration (activated “Individual link pages can be seen by visitors”), now the link page is loaded.

But, as described before, I would prefer it, if the URL of the lib-element is loaded, and not the “individual link page”, because there is nothing relevant on it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks Andreas

Ah, indeed. That option needs to be activated for that to work. Sorry I forgot to mention that.

Now, in terms of your question, I think it would be best suited for the author(s) of the Relevanssi plugin. You should ask on that plugin’s forum if there is a way to change the URL of Custom Post Type posts when they come up as results in Relevanssi search.

If they offer some type of filter hook or other function to do this, then I can look at adding support for this functionality in Link Library.
