[Resolved] Linking to an external link in another localhost?

  • Hi, I’m quite new to WordPress and is currently setting up a second site in my localhost (I previously published one in another localhost without any problem).

Anyway, to cut things short, I would like to know if it’s possible to link pages from two localhosts together? For example, I have an old site in localhost A. I’ll like to link a page from localhost A to my new site in localhost B.

I tried to link them together using the normal html link coding but the link in localhost B which is supposed to be: http: //localhostA/site/webclient.exe kept on displaying “url not found” and the link became like this: localhostB:8888/”http://localhostA/site/webclient.exe/” whenever I click on it.

Is there anyway to solve this so that it’ll link directly to the link that I want?

Thanks in advance for your attention and help! 😉

  • Just thought I’ll share back my solution in here after one of my web developer taught me an easy trick…

…use the ‘stripslashes’ function in the PHP. That’s it! 🙂
