Linking picture add to a url

  • I have a picture of my book front cover. I want to do 2 things
    1. add a link such as when someone slicks on the cover it takes them to the publishing house that seels the book
    2. Add a buy now image which links to the same place – ie the cart of a shop elswehere on the net, not my site. How do I do this?
    Please help?

The easiest way for you to do this is to go in your admin and delete the image.

Then go to add media, select the image again and on the right hand side, at the bottom you can select custom url. Just enter the url and then add the image back.

Another way you can do this is to go in the HTML view. Right now your image uses this:

    <a onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/downloads/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Post-baby-cover_finalE.jpg');" href="http://www.omhappiness.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Post-baby-cover_finalE.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-80" alt="Post baby cover finalE 191x300 My Books" src="http://www.omhappiness.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Post-baby-cover_finalE-191x300.jpg" width="191" height="300" title="My Books" /></a>

    Change that to:

    <a href="http://www.rockpoolpublishing.com.au"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-80" alt="Post baby cover finalE 191x300 My Books" src="http://www.omhappiness.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Post-baby-cover_finalE-191x300.jpg" width="191" height="300" title="My Books" /></a>

For the buy now image, just add a new image and repeat the process.
