Hey Friends!

Here’s the issue:

On our store, we sell a number of individual simple products (oils, muscle creams, roll-ons, soft-gels) and also offer a “starter kit” option. The “starter kit” is a variable product that allows the customer to select 1 roll on, 1 soft gel, 1 muscle cream, and 6 tinctures to be included in a box at a discounted rate. The Muscle creams and the Tinctures have different scents/flavor types the customer can enter for inclusion in the starter box, hence the variable product.

My question is this:

How can I get the starter kit variable product deduct the stock of the simple products the customer selects? (ex. If the customer adds a “Peppermint Muscle Cream 1000mg” to the starter kit, how can I have the inventory number of the “Peppermint Muscle Cream 1000mg” to decrease?

Currently I am using the “Enable stock management at product level” to keep track of the amount of physical starter kit boxes we have to put the products in.

The simple products are not linked at all to the variable product.
