    I am helping someone with her blog ( but when I add code to her site:

    <a href=”” target=”_blank”>
    <img src=”” alt="Stampin Up! Retiring Sets List" /> </a><br />

    The sidebar adds her url to the beginning of each link instead of allowing it to reflect (or go) to the exact link typed. Is there any way to stop the sidebar from adding her URL in front of every link?

    My blog at does not do that, I don’t know why hers does. I don’t see anything in the style sheet making that happen.

  • Could you point me to an example? None of the images on seem to be liked to anything.

    On–the right sidebar, the first “box” at the top has an “x” for a photo and you can see the words ‘Stampin’ Up! retiring list’.

    The sidebar is adding IN FRONT of embedded links.

    I don’t know where I can turn this off.

    Here’s the source:

    <a href=”” target=”blank”><imgsrc=””></a>

    Two problems. First, there should be a space between <img and src.

    Second, you should use straight quotes " instead of . Not sure where the slanted quotes came from, but they need fixing.

    I’m not sure whether that’s it, but see if that changes anything.

    Thank you so much that was exactly it!!! It was the quotes not being straight.

    How the quotes got slanted is that I had sent her an email with the code and the email was html formatted email and I should have sent it in plain text. It made trouble with the hyperlinks as well but she fixed them but not the quotes… and I didn’t realize that made a difference.

    You are awesome! Thank you for taking the time to reply to me!
