• If this is addressed somewhere, my search didn’t show it up. If there’s a way to search JUST NextGen topics for an answer to a question, I’d sure like to know what it is.

Basically, I tend to include my galleries in posts rather than pages. The “link to page” dropdown list on the manage gallery page only includes WP pages and doesn’t allow (as far as I can tell) you to manually put in the URL for the post. I’ve used NextGen for years and overall, I love it, but I’d sure like to be able to have a way to link the gallery to the blog post in the album display

    For instance, this album page:
    http://www.janefancher.com/HarmoniesOfTheNet/all-the-slideshows-gathered-into-groups/wiishus-diary/
I’d love it if there was a way to display a link to the posts associated with the individual galleries in the album display.

And I hate to be downright stupid, but I’ve never enabled the permalinks because I can’t find anywhere what it would do. I don’t want to just try it and see because I’ve got a couple of hundred galleries and I don’t want to wind up with some next of permalink snakes.

What on earth does the “enable permalinks” do? Make individual pages for each gallery?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me (Including how to search just the nextgen posts! :D)
