  • I am unsure exactly what you mean… but are you asking link that appears within a particular post, let’s say “this article was presented by Brian Smith” and click on his name to redirect to his staff page?

How about working with template and anchor?

    For example:

    <a href="pageURL/staff-page/#Brian Smith">Brian Smith</a>

and in your staff list template make

<a name="[staff-name]"></a>[staff-name] [staff-bio] (just format your template but insert the anchor tags)

[staff-name] could easily be an invalid named anchor (e.g. James O’Reilly or John Dóe) so you should use [staff-name-slug] instead.

    [staff-name-formatted]

FYI – IDs are the correct way to do this, name attributes are deprecated in XHTML and HTML5.
