Hi there,

Spun is such a great theme.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried linking the circles on the main page to categories rather than new posts?

In other words, the main page will consist of the list of different categories, represented by the circles. And clicking each circle will direct the reader to that category of posts.

You could probably create a child theme with a custom page template that uses one of these functions, then style the output to look like the circles by copying the styles from the parent theme’s style.css:

Where do I put the code for the custom page template?

I’ve created a child theme.
I am completely new to this so as simple explanations as possible =)

You make your own file, call it whatever you want, then put the code into that file. If you need help with creating files ask your hosting providers for support.
