    Hello guys.
I am trying to convert a static website to a WordPress theme, I am working on local hosting.
I created a page with the name of (products) and I transferred all the post to display in this page, for example I have a post with the name of (post_1), when I click on the post title the link is: (localhost/website/post_1), Now my question is how can I change this link to be like this :(localhost/website/products/post_1).

  • Have you looked at the Permalink settings?
    SETTINGS > Permalinks
If they are post you can a create a “Custom Structure” for the permalinks to go to the category.

If these are Pages, you can make the products a child of a “products” page. This way the url will read as /products/title-1)..

    Thanks Kim ,
yes it’s a page with the name of (products), I tried to make the post as a child of the product page in the menu but nothing changed,
Always when I go inside the post the link is (localhost/website/post) it doesn’t refer to the page

Ohhh… sorry not on the menu.
ON the PAGE itself there is an area “Page Attributes”
This is where you select what page is the PARENT of your page.

The issue is that I have posts not pages, so I can’t make post a child for a page.

Then you could make a Category called “products”… and assign it to all of them.
Then create the permalink structure to use the category in the permalink.

    Great idea Kim ,
    Thanks for help
