• Hi!

    I’ve been working on this issue for months, even with the staff of Jetpack plugin since I thought it was a plugin bug. They adressed me here after several weeks testing things. Here are the facts.

    1. When sharing a blog post on LinkedIn it doesn’t show the featured image, it doesn’t show an excerpt and instead it shows the root link to the blog like this picture show

    2. Preview on other social networks like FB and Twitter work ok
    3. With all plugins disabled problem persists
    4. Disabling social options in theme doesn’t solve the problem
    5. Changing the theme to twenty-seventeen doesn’t solve the problem
    6. Problem began in december 2016 with WordPress 4.5.x Last month I updated all plugins and last WP version (4.7.1). Problem still there.
    7. Published a couple of posts to see if the LinkedIn cache wasn’t refreshed. The problem was still there in the new posts after all the updates and tests we did.

    I’m really desperate as the person who uses this blog relies a lot her activity on social networks and specially LinkedIn sharing her articles. I really would appreciate all the help you can offer.

    I’m not using jetpack but i have the same problem with the open graph protocol on Linkedin.
    Everythings is ok with FB and Twitter but on linkedin there are just the link of my website but not the good title and no picture.

    Hi libricielscop.

    I had this issue finally solved after MONTHS (literally) of dealing with it. At the end, after several mails with LinkedIn support they recognized that this was a known issue and they were working to solve it. A couple of weeks later the issue was solved and everything now works ok. I suggest you to open a ticket at LinkedIn support.
