 * Hello,
 * I have my site [http://www.bertranddory.com](http://www.bertranddory.com) and
   I am trying to post something on linkedIn ([http://www.bertranddory.com/know-successful-breakthrough-can-come-can-survive/](http://www.bertranddory.com/know-successful-breakthrough-can-come-can-survive/)),
   and I get a 403 Forbidden.
 * I am using this plugin AIO WP security, and I feel that the issue is coming from
   there.
 * I do not know what is happening, as all the other social media are working fine
   and well (but for this market, LinkedIn is my preferred resource). Can you please
   help?
 * Many Thanks
    Bertrand

 * Hi Bertrand, I tested your URL above and I can open the link in two different
   browsers i.e. Google Chrome and Seamonkey. That tells me that the links are not
   blocked in any way by the plugin.
 * If the plugin was blocking that URL then I would not have being able to open
   that link in the aforementioned browsers. Another point to consider is if all
   your other social medias are working fine then that also verifies that the plugin
   is not blocking any URLs from your website.
 * There must be something else in your linkedin account that is blocking access
   to this URL. Have you tried sharing a different URL?
 * Kind regards

 * [@bertranddory](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bertranddory/),
    It could
   be that linkedin is adding something to the URL when you submit the link. If
   this is the case, and you have enabled some of the firewall features, then possibly
   the AIOWPS is blocking access based on a string in the URL.
 * Check the URL of the link which you posted on linkedin to see if there are other
   parameters.
    Also try disabling the firewall features one by one and testing
   the link each time to see which one might be blocking it.

 * Hi [@bertrand](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bertrand/), I just carried
   out a test in my linkedin account and it added my URL without any problems.
 * What I did discover is that if you want to share a link you have to click on
   the pencil to create a new post. Then you will be able to insert a link without
   any issues. If you simply try to type some information on the Share an update
   field and you try to add a URL then you will receive that error message “403
   Forbidden” you mentioned above.
 * I hope this helps you.

 * Thank you [@mbrsolution](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mbrsolution/) and
   [@wpsolutions](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wpsolutions/).
    I will try
   the last suggestion, and I love the plugin (I have been the recipient of many
   attacks and threats in the past) and since I use your plugin, these are gone,
   and this gives me pecs of mind for my followers (knowing that they will not get
   infected visiting my site).
 * Thanks again, and let me check your trick [@mrsolution](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mrsolution/).

 * Hi [@bertranddory](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bertranddory/) how did
   you go with our suggestions above?

 * Thanks for following up [@mbrsolution](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mbrsolution/),
 * I looked into it, and I have posted a few posts without the preview (not as powerful),
   as I did not find the pencil you mentioned… I am still looking for a solution,
   as, as you identified too, there is an issue here.
    Now, it is likely to be with
   the 5G firewall rules (but this is beyond my technological skills).
 * Thanks again, and if you could guide me, it would be great.

 * I am facing the same problem of link sharing showing 403 forbidden error.
    Could
   you please let me know which pencil sign you were referring to create new post.
   Or Is there any other way to tackle this issue?
 * [@mbrsolution](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mbrsolution/)
 * Do you know any setting in LinkedIn account where we can resolve this problem?
 * Thanks,
    Jyoti

 * Hi [@jyoti](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jyoti/) and [@bertranddory](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bertranddory/),
   this is the steps I take to add a link from my website or clients websites.
    - I log into linkedin and click on Home just to make sure that I am home.
    - I see my image and next to my image I see the following text Share an update….
    - Next to the Share an update… there is a pencil. I click on the pencil, which
      allows me to create a post.
    - I type some text and click on the link button on the WYSIWYG editor menu to
      add my link. You have to highlight the text that you want to add the hyperlink
      to.
 * The above is the only way I can add links. If I simply try to past a hyperlink
   into the the window without click on the pencil it will give me the error you
   are talking about.
 * Let me know if that makes sense. It could also be your current account level.
 * Kind regards

 * After trying to find a way, I unchecked the 5G firewall rules, and this sorted
   out my issue.
 * This works now all the time. I will investigate more the lines in the .htaccess
   that created this error on Linked In.
 * This is how I resolved my issue, and thanks a lot for [@mbrsolution](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mbrsolution/)
   for your help…
