Hello! First of all, thank you for this amazing lightweight plugin!

One question – can you make it to link on desktop to the whatsapp app (if installed) instead of the whatsapp web separate (in-browser) application? And maybe make it a plugin option, so users can switch between those.

On mobile, everything is ok, the button leads me to the installed whatsapp app instead of the separate web (browser) app.

    Thanks again.

PS: I think this is pretty simple to do, as your button directs the website visitor to https://web.whatsapp.com/

I tried another plugin, that works ok on desktop, and its link directs the visitor to https://api.whatsapp.com/

Both are followed in the link by a message like #?text=Hi!%20I%20have%20a%20question%20about…

So hope you’ll have time for this simple tweak soon. Other than that, again, amazing lightweight plugin 🙂

    Hi @ricaneaga

This item was changed to the web version due to a problem in some countries
and it created a problem for users who didn’t have the WhatsApp application, that’s why it was changed

In the new version, you will have the ability to change this item to the WhatsApp web version or WhatsApp api link

    Thanks for your support
