    Hi
I was wondering if it was possible to link the picture and names to the user’s page. That way other users can wish them happy birthday. I run a members only website and I need members to click on the picture or name of the birthday celebrant to go to their page, where they can write on their walls.
    I await your reply.
    Thank you

    Hello there,

I am not very familiar with BuddyPress and last time I checked to figure out a way to draw the birthday date from BuddyPress User’s meta it had a complicated meta fields system.

In other words some custom coding should enable the feature you like, but I consider that a generic solution will be difficult to come by. However give me some time to estimate what can I do for the case.

I am using the WordPress user meta to pick the birthdays and the names.
Tell me how does it work on a normal WordPress site. Do the pictures take you to the user’s page?

At the moment it does not take you anywhere, what template do you use? An option can be implemented to make the image a link to a desired page.

I use a themeforest premium theme called Klein
Maybe you could tell me what I could write into my function file.

No i meant what mode of the plugin are you using, not the theme of your website.

    Sorry. It’s Calendar.

The problem is that with calendar mode the popup appears only on hover, so when you will try to click the image it will already be hidden.

I can try to change the behavior so the list of users appears on click and stays until you click elsewhere and then try to implement the link to user’s profile.

    That’ll be super cool.

Version 1.7.14 implements this long requested feature, please try it and let us see the result on your blog 😀

I am looking for a way to link the name of users to their bbpress profile page

@dejman name of users are already linked their buddypress profile page, I don’t it should work differently from bbpress.

@sudavar I need help. The calendar theme in the widget is conflict with my wordpress theme. My modal login isn’t working

@im_a_marvel bbpress and buddypress are two different packages. The button to link to buddypress comes with the plugin but none for bbpress. That is my problem
