I’m simply trying to add a link to my posts for “Source” articles.
What is a “Source” article? Please explain further…
Just an article I’m commenting on. Ever been to any of the tech blogs like engadget or Gizmodo? They all have source links. It could be called a related link as well. I just need to be able to link to another site and have that link appear after my post.
Then couldn’t you just paste a link into your post such as:
<a href="http://wordpress.org/support/topic/254294?replies=3">Forum post on the subject of link to source</a>
Or look at Press This.
I could, but that’s a hassle when every entry requires that. Also, the “Source” link won’t be in the proper position.
In Blogger I have a “Link” field. Any URL I put in that field creates a “Source” link for me right next to my “Permalink” link. If I leave the Link field blank, no source link is created. I can’t believe nobody knows the answer to this. Numerous WordPress blogs have these links and they can’t all be doing it manually.
I’m probably being stupid about this…could you provide a link to an example, please.

Some sites have a “Via” link but I’m just trying to do it without having to enter the HTML every time. I can do it in Blogger, but can’t figure it out in WordPress.
Thanks.
Unless you find a plugin to do that, might consider using a Custom Field.
