# Link to File

 * Hey. i just uploaded my first file. It is a zip and i also uploaded a preview
   image of it. The preview image loads fine, but the link goes to my blog root 
   directory and not the uploads/month/date folder. any ideas?

 * try editing the post and handcoding the link to the file.
    also, make sure your
   permalinks are working correctly

 * Did you drag and drop the image from the file uploader to the post? That seems
   to be broken in firefox. Instead, click on it in the upload window and, from 
   the little menu, click “Send to Editor”.

 * handysolo…. thats what i do, click send to file. still sends it to the root. 
   i am changing the links by hand, but that just shouldnt happen lol.
