• After edit a page press update, a link appears for a moment to “View Page.” If I don’t press it, it disappears. Then I am stuck on that page.

Why not have a button at the top that lets me exit the editor any time I want?

  • Hi Ed,

Thanks for chiming in about the “View Page” option! Although the link at the bottom of the page does indeed disappear after a few moments, there are a couple of other options to view the page on your site:

    1. A button to “View Page” also appears at the top right after publishing a page that serves the same purpose (see screenshot).
    2. If you open settings (click the gear icon at the top right), then expand the “Permalink” section, there is a link to view the page in a new window (see screenshot).

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks, Courtney.

The first option doesn’t appear when editing a page which has already been published. The second one is new to me, so thanks for that. I have to say, though, it is a bit buried.

I’ve found if I missed the View Page link, it’s easier to just update it again. That won’t work if I’m made some edits I don’t want to keep, though. I guess the Permalink option is the way to go.

    Thanks again,

    -Ed
