link to a different URL from my website

    I can’t seem to link to a different URL from my website. What I do is highlight the word of phrase in my post that I want linked, copy it, when the “link box” comes up, I paste the URL, that I had previously copied from the other website, into the blank space, and click “OK”. Nothing happens! What am I doing wrong here?
