Link text issue (I think) (4 posts)

Hi. great plugin. Am using Responsive column widget box to place several linked image files in right sidebar of my wordpress site.
What I would like to achieve is that when a person hovers over image, text appears describing that image or link. Am not sure what is the name of this text, "alt" or "link text" or similar.
Text entered under "link text" and "text" displays below the image.

Is there such functionality with the plugin?

    Hi,

I guess you are talking about the title attribute and it's nothing to do with the plugin.

I do not know how you insert the images into the widget but generally it will look like this.

    <a href="http://..." title="Your Text Here!"><img src="http://..."></a>

This is more of a question for HTML though.

Yes, I was speaking about "alternate text" - tooltip text when mouse over image. And you were right, it's not the issue of the plugin but rather that of Simple image widget that came by default with WP and which I used to insert images into right sidebar via widget box of Responsive Column Widgets. As soon as I replaced that plugin with Image widget plugin, the issue resolved itself.
