 * I just migrated a pretty large news website to wordpress…. now all of my old
   links are dead and simply go to a search page. Does anyone know if it’s possible
   to do a htaccess redirect to show the correct content….
 * for example, I would need to automatically change all URLs that look like this…..
 * [http://profootballspot.com/nfl/news/new-england-patriots/watch-vince-wilfork-claims-im-tom-bradys-tom-brady-r3356/](http://profootballspot.com/nfl/news/new-england-patriots/watch-vince-wilfork-claims-im-tom-bradys-tom-brady-r3356/)
 * to become….
 * [http://profootballspot.com/watch-vince-wilfork-claims-im-tom-bradys-tom-brady/](http://profootballspot.com/watch-vince-wilfork-claims-im-tom-bradys-tom-brady/)

   __________
 * So it’s removing all of the little subfolders content was in, and getting rid
   of the content after the very last –
 * ……
 * please someone tell me this is possible

 * There are many great redirection plugins that can help you solve this issue.
   Here’s a link with a breakdown of the most popular ones.

 * Thanks guys – however, all the plugins i’ve looked at seem to want to do things
   one by one.
 * I’ve got about 14,000 articles that are in the format mentioned, and I need to
   change them all automatically. The plugins I’ve found don’t seem to be able to
   do what I’m wanting.
