# Link ordering in sidebars

 * I’ve been using the WordPress software to create a website for a client who likes
   the idea of maintaining her own site, but isn’t too interested in being a blogger.
 * Her de-blogified site can be seen at:

 * Here’s my question: I’m trying to make the order of the links in the right-hand
   sidebar the same as the order of the tabs (sans the home page) at the top of 
   the pages. I’d also like the articles and tips lists in the sidebar to display
   so that the most recent article or tip is at the top of the lists.
 * I’m pretty sure that what I’m trying to do involves tweaking the sidebar.php 
   file, but I haven’t hit upon the magic tweak yet. I think this page may have 
   the answers, but I’m still a WordPress rookie:

 * Why not use the same tag (and parameters) that is diplaying the Pages in your
   header for your sidebar?
 * The postbypost parameter with the [template tag](http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags),
   [wp_get_archives()](http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/wp_get_archives),
   is a good way to display recent posts.
