Hi there 🙂
Please go to this page to debug your URLs, it’ll help you find issues easily:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/
In particular, look at this mention:
Provided og:image URL, https://…./wp-content/uploads/2018/07/2018072018-latest-logo-1.png was not valid because it did not meet the minimum size constraint of 200px by 200px.
Because of this, they’ll grab the first image they see, even if it doesn’t abide by their guidelines. In your case, it’s the arrow.
An unfitting fallback image is used (the logo). Now, this is unintended behavior from the plugin. As such, I’ve escalated this to be fixed later:
https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/issues/355
To fix this in the meantime, and to increase social engagement, I recommend setting a custom default fallback image. You can do so by going to the SEO Settings, within the “Social Meta Settings” meta box. I recommend setting a high-resolution image that generally explains your website, which is also inviting.
I hope this helps! Cheers 🙂
Thank you. I looked at everything. Changed the fallback image. Added a new image onto the page but still it shows the upward arrow. What have I done wrong. Would prefer the fallback and not to add the image. But neither seem to work. https://communicationandyou.com/calendar/
No problem!
The linked-to image seems to be missing and leads to a 404 page:
../wp-content/uploads/2018/09/social-media-fallback-image-2.png
Could you revalidate this? It’s best to use the media uploader via the button below the input field.
Keep in mind that Facebook retains a very persistent cache. So, when the link is fixed, then you should clear the cache here:

Driving me mad. Did everything you said. Made sure the image was loaded into SEO correctly. Did everything else and Facebook comes back with the old picture.
I removed the extra image on the page assuming it would pick up the SEO back up but it didn’t.
I really have no idea what is going on.
This works but doesn’t get picked up.

Hello again!
There’s no need to worry! You’ve fixed it 🎉
It’s just Facebook’s cache that’s being annoying.
Aside from the “Batch Invalidator”, you can hit the “Scrape Again” button on their debugger page to see the results instantly.
The “Time Scraped” row will tell you when it’s last scraped. And the “Link Preview” row will show you how it could look when the page is shared.
Have a great weekend!
Fantastic – Thank you yet again for your wonderful support.
