I'm not 100% sure that this is related to CPT UI, but it seems like it might be because it's this plugin that adds my CPT item to the control panel left column. Here goes:

I have a site with a number of custom post types, which I created using CPT UI. The usual left navigation structure is as follows, where "Projects" is my CPT:

    Projects
    + Projects
    + Add CPT

It used to be that the two Projects links would go to the main listing of projects. A URL like so: http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=projects

However, I've noticed something odd happening just recently. I have this scenario:

    Projects
    + Fields (a related taxonomy)
    + Projects
    + Add CPT

The first Projects link above, instead of linking to the projects list as normal, now links to the following URL:

    http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=fields&post_type=projects

This is not where it should link and is confusing, especially for clients. Any idea why this is happening?

    Thanks.

Aaaaaand, I figured it out 30 seconds after posting that. I am using the Menu Editor plugin to order my control panel left nav items and I see that if I re-adjust the order like so (below), the top-level item now has the right link.

    Projects
    + Projects
    + Add CPT
    + Fields (a related taxonomy)
