Link from a Slider not working

Hi there
I am trying to embed a youtube video link from within an image slider gallery, and while a static non-slider link with the same URL / rel works just fine, clicking the same link from the Slider image gives me this error: <my clients url omitted>

Blocked a frame with origin "http://www.youtube.com" from accessing a frame with origin "http://<mydomain.com>". Protocols, domains, and ports must match.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'match' of undefined jquery.prettyPhoto.js?ver=3.1.4:74

any insight? again, the link works fine from a statically placed image, but not on inside a slider markup block.
