Link from a picture

Hello,

I’d like to make a sort of directory out of one of the pages of my site:
http://www.acornhats.co.uk/emerald-slippers/

I’d like visitors to be able to click on the picture(s) inserted here, to access the blurb which is currently on the page; to link to the text, instead of showing the whole page of it up front. I’d like just to have a couple of lines about, to tempt them to do so. Eventually, I’d like to do that set up with several pictures. Anyone know if that’s possible, please?
