Hello @karenlg.
My pleasure!
Listings will not be duplicated with the “Match Existing SKUs” setting enabled. As I mentioned, they will either be connected, or they won’t depending on if the SKUs match or not.
Kind regards
Hello @karenlg.
Can you send me a step by step on what I need to do to make sure that the products are not imported from eBay nor are the categories? We just want the products to link from the ones in the WP store to the ones on our eBay store.
You should follow our setup here: Quick Start Guide (but with the “Match Existing SKUs” setting enabled so no products are actually created but instead they are connected.
With the “Match Existing SKUs” setting enabled, categories will not be created in WC either.
Kind regards
John
Ok. Sorry for all the questions. I found the Match existing SKUs after I change that to Yes do I click Backup or Restore on this same page?
Sorry I did not see your reply for some reason till I posted that last post.
Hello @karenlg.
No problem at all.
You wouldn’t click “Backup” or “Restore”. Those buttons allow you to backup your current settings, or restore the current settings to a previous backup you may have taken previously. After you enable the “Match existing SKUs” setting you would click the “Update Settings” button at the top of the page on the right hand side.
Kind regards,
John
Can I leave the Clean Import mode on?
Step 3 is what I am talking about. I guess I need to click Run Import. And it has an option that says Import Mode the option selected is Clean import.

Hi @karenlg,
You may use the Clean Import mode if you want to remove all previously imported products and run a new full import.
This is also explained here: https://www.wplab.com/plugins/import-from-ebay-to-woocommerce/documentation/import-settings/#Import_mode

Hey so we started it and then canceled it halfway through. Some of our pictures have been replaced with what was on eBay. We want the info from our store to go over to eBay. When the link. We don’t want anything replaced on our store. We just want it to be linked so if we update the Store it will update on eBay. That’s what we thought it was going to do.
I was told that is would not delete or mess with any of our products if we had “Match existing SKUs” selected. What happened. What did I do wrong
Hello @karenlg.
With the “Match Existing SKUs” enabled, nothing will happen to your WC products. I have never once seen any WC product modified with that setting enabled. If something did happen to them I will need to test this directly on your site.
So you should open a support ticket here: Support Form
… and provide your dashboard URL, admin login credentials, email used to purchase the plugin, and a sample eBay item ID that I can try matching with to test this myself.
Kind regards,
John
I just sent it in under debug. It’s not working as I thought it would for sure. It Added Categories and products. And the products it added we already had. It duplicated them. It’s very weird. I’m going through and deleting them because we don’t want them on the store but I’m leaving one so they can see. I really hope you are the one working on this since you know what I am looking for.
Hello @karenlg.
I have replied to your ticket you sent in. Moving forward let’s stick to the ticket to communicate about this, thanks!
