Support » Plugin: Spectra - WordPress Gutenberg Blocks » Link entire info box, or even just image

The Info Box is perfect for promoting internal links, but I don’t want to use the button, I’d like the whole block to be a link. When I edit the code as html it always returns “this block contains unexpected or invalid content”, even though the link is valid code. Can you suggest a fix or work around?

    Hello @countless,

This issue occurs when the current HTML structure of the block doesn’t correspond with the previously saved version in the block editor.

Unfortunately, Gutenberg does not allow changing the HTML for any block. If you want to use custom HTML you need to use the Custom HTML block. Gutenberg simply does not allow that.

If you want the whole link to be in a link, then you can use the Type as Complete Box as mentioned in this screenshot.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Sweta,

I completely overlooked the ‘complete box’ call to action type *groan*. Working perfectly now. Thanks for your full explanation too.
