    Hello,

I continue to get an error saying….

    Link conflict with page attachment
Links in the bottom of a page with a Page Attachment are disabled.

…and sure enough….my page attachment links do not work on the mobile device. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. I have entered my URL into the link field. Things seem to be configured right from my side. Any one have any thoughts on what’s going on?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Thanks for reaching out, hopefully we can assist. Can you share a screenshot showing the error message along with the full URL you’re inserting? I’m wondering if there are similar slugs used between your story and elsewhere on your WordPress setup.

You can use a service such as Imgur or JumpShare to share images.

The URL being added to the Page Attachment is https://www.kitchensanctuary.com/tuscan-chicken/

That same URL is used on multiple pages to enable the Page Attachment element.

I don’t believe there is a need to provide a screenshot of the error….it is just text in the “Checklist” under High Priority. It says specifically.

    Link conflict with page attachment
Links in the bottom of a page with a Page Attachment are disabled.”

Thanks for the update. Can you check whether you’re trying to add a link to any element at the footer of your story, near the page attachment? Links must be place above any page attachment, with this video providing an overview of how you may be encountering this notice.

Yes. I actually figured this out today. For those having the same issue. If ANY element on your page has a link associated with it, and has ANY portion of the element in the bottom 25% of the slide, you will get the error described in this post.

It would be nice if the editor would tell you what page you have the error on but it does not. If you have one element linked that is in the bottom 25% of the page and then try to use Page Attachments on any portion of your story, the entire feature will be disabled. The “Read More” link will still show on your story, but it will not work until you clean any other element that may have a link on it from the bottom 25% of your slide.

Now that I know what this does it’s not that hard to figure out. Would be nice for the interface to be a bit more intuitive.

Many thanks for the update. Many thanks for sharing your feedback, which I’ll pass onto the team to gather their thoughts.

In the meantime feel free to submit any feature requests or improvements directly to on the plugins GitHub repository if preferred. Best of luck with your stories and reach out should you have any further queries.
