    Hello! All good?

I’m writing to answer some questions about the TablePress plugin. I want to purchase the Pro version, but I need to know if the plugin can do what I need. What I need is to make data entered in a spreadsheet automatically reflected in another spreadsheet that is being displayed on a page through a shortcode.

Example: I create the worksheet [table id=1/] (this would be the main worksheet), then, when creating a second worksheet [table id=2/], I would like a certain cell from worksheet 1 to feed a certain cell from worksheet 2 Is it possible to do this type of procedure with the plugin? I don’t want to import data from external tables, I want this procedure to be done between tables in TablePress itself.

    Hi!

Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

Even though you already found the answer, I’ll briefly mention it for others as well:

Yes, that’s possible by using the TablePress Single Cell Shortcode Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/table-cell-shortcode/

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

However, I encountered another difficulty. Is there any way for the cell, which contains the shortcode from another spreadsheet, to be updated automatically when I insert new data into the source spreadsheet?

    Hi,

Yes! You will need to turn off TablePress’ internal output cache for the table in which you are using the [table-cell ... /] Shortcodes, by using the Shortcode

    [table id=1 cache_table_output=false /]

    when displaying that main table.

    Regards,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress in the plugin directory. Thanks!
