• Hello,

I am trying to post new slides to our website which I have done numerous times in the past. I use an App called Fetch to make the slides compatible with our site. On this new post, I am linking “download slides” with the correct link, which ends with .pdf. This is how we post all of our slides. The link shows up correctly and when I click “publish” or “update”, go to the published page and click on “download slides”, the link automatically removes the .pdf and therefore brings up an error page that the requested page cannot be found. This is all because WordPress somehow is removing the .pdf at the end of the link and creating a link that does not exist. I have re-entered the correct link about 10 times now and everything is set up to work properly, the link works on its own when I paste it into its own browser, but once I click publish, it changes.

Somebody please help me with this. Seems that wordpress provides no support aside from these forums. Thank you

  • Hi,

The only change in the download link & in the direct link is the ‘.pdf’ at the end?

Was this working earlier? If yes, on what action did it stop working? Like updating WordPress, updating some other plugin, etc.

Do you have any Redirection plugin installed which is fiddling with the links?
