Hello,

According to the blog post, WP 5.3 Beta 2 supports rel=”ugc” attribute in comments. I tested on WordPress 5.3-beta3-46471 (Theme: Twenty Twenty).

Here are results.

When I simply posted URL in comment, the link attribute is “nofollow” only. (1st comment in the following page) If I edit the comment URL pressed “link” button in WordPress admin “Edit Comment” page, the URL link in comment would have “nofollow ugc” attribute. (2nd comment)

Tested on 5.3 RC, but still got just “nofollow” only link attribute in Comment using Twenty Twenty.

Attached is the image of source code that shows “nofollow” only and “nofollow ugc” in comment on WordPress 5.3 RC.

Fantastic, as the ticket has been re-opened, I’m marking this thread as resolved.

That doesn’t indicate the issue has been fixed, but that this forum thread has an associated ticket where any additional details should be shared, and lets the volunteers know that they don’t need to keep watching this thread.

Just would like to give you update. I tested and confirmed that the issue on 5.3 beta3 and RC, I reported previously is resolved on 5.3 RC2. Attached link image is screen copy of comment section of links. Both links are now have “nofollow ugc” link attribute.
