Line to separate sidebar widgets in Make

Hi there,
I have a food blog, Starbuck’s Kitchen that I’ve recently started using Make on. My sidebar looks a little funny since there’s nothing dividing the different elements, they’re just sort of floating. I’d like to add a thin line between them for a break. I can’t find a way to add a divider like this in the Make theme. I’m not missing anything, am I?

I’ve also looked through WordPress forums and found some answers like this for other themes, but I’m not savvy with code and am worried about accidentally messing something up. I also saw there’s a plugin called Separator Widget that appears to make it easy to add those lines, but not sure how easy it is or how good it will look.

So my questions:
1) There’s not a way to do it in settings in Make, is there?
2) If not, is it better to risk tinkering with my CSS or add the extra plugin?
