[Resolved] Line spacing in captions generated by NextGen

  • I’m hoping someone can help me. I’m using WP Supersized with a NextGen gallery and I’m trying to get the captions to show in a box. I have managed to get the box in the supersized.css with the code:

    #slidecaption {position:fixed; bottom:20px; right:20px;
    width: 200px
    background: #FFF;
    opacity:0.3;
    }

    However, when the text wraps in the box it shows with double line spacing and I’d like it to be single. Nothing I’ve tried so far, either in the class above or in the NextGen seems to make a difference.

  • Aha! It was in the theme/supersized.shutter.css

    For my purposes, I wanted the box in the bottom right of the screen (I’m not using the navigation/thumbnail bar) so my code is:

    #slidecaption {overflow:hidden; position:fixed; bottom:20px; right:20px;
    width: 200px;
    color:#111;
    background:#FFF;
    opacity:0.8;
    margin:2px;
    font:bold 14px “Helvetica Neue”, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; margin:0 20px 0 0;
    line-height:16px; }

    The issue was the line height, not spacing, so I shrunk that down.

    Super happy to have this plugin!
