When a purchase is made on our website, Woocommerce isn’t passing the line items to Braintree.

In the Braintree documentation there is a value lineitems in transaction sale https://developer.paypal.com/braintree/docs/reference/request/transaction/sale/php
we have a number of other websites which while not using Woocommerce, use Braintree and pass the items actually purchased as line items to Braintree which we then use for reporting.

Woocommerce doesn’t seem to support this or I haven’t found a place to enable it. Any assistance would be welcome.

    Thanks,
    Shawn

I don’t believe that the Braintree for WooCommerce gateway is intended to record the line items from an order, and would only pass details pertaining to the order totals and payment transactions.

WooCommerce offers built-in Analytics for reporting product sales along with many other data, which you can read more about here: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-analytics/

If you wish to add such reporting to the Braintree for WooCommerce extension, that would require customization of the plugin, which is beyond our scope of support per our Support Policy: https://woocommerce.com/support-policy/

You can reach out to developers and WooExperts for assistance with such customization here: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
