This problem still exists?
If so try the latest Beta version of qTranslate-x Download it here
Do not use install via WordPress admin!
First unzip the new file.
Deactivate the existing version of qTranslate in WordPress admin.
Then with FTP delete all files in the existing qtranslate-x folder and after that copy all new files in it.
Activate qTranslate-x again via WordPress admin.

interesting, yes I can reproduce the problem.
We will look at it.
I would guess you maybe used a non standard editor before?
I used a CKK Editor previously – and I got loads of empty lines in the editor – they do not appear on the frontend though. The old qtranslate was somehow repsonsible for this bug.
Not sure if they disappear though once I disable qtranslate-x. In any case best post some html expamples – so we could see if the html code is plain wrong (as was the case with CKK editor).
Especially bulleted sections are full of non compliant html code if you used CKK and qtranslate before.. (this got fixed in later mqtranslate versions – however old stuff still broken of course). Heck some of the qtranslate original plugin filters always went havoc…

I used the default wp editor in the past, now I’m using tinymce but tested with both and I can reproduce it without any editor on brand new posts.
So, no, I don’t think it’s related, and @gunu was able to reproduce the bug, so it’s definetly not a unique error.
tinymce is anyhow only a different interface for default editor.
