 * I am adding events into calendar and under either details or excerpt looking 
   to display the in a list format as seen on ‘rugby diary’ view on home page.
 * I am trying to put line breaks into the text so that fixtures show on different
   lines.
 * Any help would be hugely appreciat3ed.

 * If I understand you correctly, then with the classic editor for creating your
   events, you should be able to add line breaks to your event description from 
   the text editor.
