I’m pulling my hair out here I am sure this tag issue maybe causing my problem in the sidebar when in IE in that other than on the home page on all the other pages the items on the side bar juxtapose to any text written on that page doesn’t work. So if there’s only one line of text on that page most the side tabs work except the top side bar option (where the text is) and then when you get a page which is half text only half the links work. It seems by having text on any one line it has a knock on effect on the side panel options.

I really need help with this, if I post any code could could someone spot the problem?

    Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee

heres an example before I posted the picture, I just had the word ‘letters’ the top one side bar link would not work ..now the length of the picture the side bars don’t work.

Yet strangely the same isn’t the case for page of embedded videos they all work there. http://www.troopbox.co.uk/the-troops

So it’s pictures and text it doesn’t like on pages other than the homepage using IE?

My guess is that you’ve added an unnecessary closing </div> higher up. so it comes down to literally working through the template files – making a note of each opening and closing div to ensure that they are properly nested. If you add markup to your posts and you’re getting this validation error on specific pages but not others, also check your post content in case you added an extra </div> somewhere.

Still don’t under stand what I am looking for. Cut one at a time every </div> out of templates, tested (no change) pasted it back, I am at a loss. I have only just started, this is my first time using word press so I am struggling to understand what the <div> </div> mean even though I have red the documents and how they are supposed to start and close and why you some times get the more that one </div> in a row?
