Limiting search to certain pages

Is it possible to modify the search function so as to direct it at certain pages, rather than the whole site. (I’m using the Jerome’s Search and Search Everything plugins.) I want to set up a bunch of pages apart from the rest of my blog and then to set up a separate search function to work on just those pages. In effect, I’m using WP as a makeshift database.

Any suggestions welcome.
