# Limiting registration

 * Is it possible to limit registration to certain people or can anyone register?
 * Example: I would like to approve the users registration before they can log in
   to access the downloadable content.

 * Anyone can register if you enable signup from wp settings page.
    However, You
   can achieve your goal in the following way: 1. Allow anyone to signup, default
   role is subscriber 2. When you create downloads, set allow access = author or
   any custom role ( use any role manager plugin from wordpress.org to create new
   user role ) 3. So, after signup, if you want to allow the user to download your
   item, edit the user and put her/him to the new role.
