Limiting number of results seems to be broken

    Hi,

    Thanks for taking on the management of this plugin – I find it really simple and useful.

    I noticed that setting the maximum number of results is not working as it should. Sometimes it will just display the correct number, and other times it will have way more than was specified in the settings.

    Are you aware of this issue?
