Hi @kkalmar,
Thanks for sharing your comments.
1. Our plugin fully compatible with Polylang and you can translate the cookie banner texts and other strings. Please refer the guide here.
2. Please make sure that the slug of the category is ‘necessary’ itself. You can set the same slug of the translated category as well. Refer the guide link shared above to know how to use the Quick edit option to do this.
3. While we understand that this wasn’t convenient for you, most common WordPress plugins have the same uninstall workflow. If you need assistance with clean up, please create a topic in the support forum.
4. You must either accept or reject the banner. You can use the [cookie_reject] shortcode to add reject button to banner.
Hi,
1. It is not. Try change language in top banner in Polylang and you’ll see that Customize Cookie bar->Message doesn’t change (bug)
Ad 2. I managed to do that, but much better and logical solution would be Necessary yes / no in categories
Ad 3. I strongly disagree. Why would user totally unnecessary have to read support forum and manually clean up the database after uninstall when it can easily be done automatically.
Ad 4. I meant there is no option to make banner type cookie bar modal as is popup. Modal: you can’t enter and click on web page while you don’t accept cookies. Technically you break GDPR law if user enters the page and it didn’t make explicit cookie choice.
Hi @kkalmar,
1. Translations are made via the Polylong String translation . Please refer the guide here.
2,3. We will add your feedback to backlogs.
4. There is no option to just leave the page and accept. If you click reject and use the site, the cookies are not set and the site is GDPR compliant. If the user continues to use the site without responding to the banner, then also the cookies are to set.
